FOOTBALL.
(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Dunbdin, February 25.
The annual report of the Otago Rugby Football Union states that the season commenced with a balance in hand of £98, and there is now a credit balance of £629, with assets amounting to £782, subject to a contingent liability of £25. An appeal is made to players and clubs to strengthen the hands of the incoming committee in preserving the sport from the evils by which this popular amusement is always liable to be attacked.
