Lane's previous Australian record was 2min 38 l-sth sees at Sydney on March 4th, 1901. 75 Yards Handicap (open), final heat. — Gailey (Queensland) 1, Hunter (Hawera) 2, Aitken (Wanganui) 3. Time 55 l-sth sec. 880 Yards Championship. — Cavill 1, Read 2. Time, llinin Bsec. Cavill's previous record was llrnin 51 l-sth sec. Cavill also won the Neatest Header.
