» (pee pbbss association.) Hastings, February 24. r^ The game between Manawatu and Hawke's Bay on Saturday resulted in one of the fastest and best-contested games ever seen in this district. At the end of the third spell tbe score stood— Hawke's Bay 3. Manawatu 1. Hawke's Bay soon scored two goals in quick succession, then Manawatu scored again, and on call of time tbe score was 4 all. . Two extra spells were played before the winning point was scored by Hawke's Bay, a pony kicking a bit out straight to Nelson, who hit the ball between tbe posts.
