NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY AUCTION REPORT. New Plymouth, February 20. Cattle: At Waiwakaiho, on Tuesday, there was a fair yarding of stock, nearly the whole of which were calves, the balance being store cows and dairy cattle. JSxcept for extra good quality there were practically no buyers for calves, bidding being very dull, and most of this class went home. Store cows and other classes sold at ruling rates. Weaners made 12s to 235 ; extra good calves, 26a to 32s 6d ; 12 to 15 month heifers, L 2 12s ; mixed yearlings, 42s 6d; springing heifers, L 4 10s to L 5; store cows, L 3 6s to L 3 lls Gd ; cows and calves, L 3 16s to L 4 Is ; fat forward cows, L 4 23 6d to L 4 10s.
