(FROM OUR RESIDENT AGENT.) Messrs Nolan, Tonks and Co. held a big sale here yesterday, over 1000 head being yarded. Prices were withou.t material change, but bidding was not over keen. Mr S. Davison, who has been for some months stationed in the. local telegraph office, has received orders to go to Wanganui. Mr Davison has, during his stay here, made many friends, who will regret his departure. Mr H. S. Robison, manager of the Bank of New Soute Wales, has gone to Auckland for a trip of three weeks. His place is being taken by Mr MacKay, of Wellington. Februrry 19.
