Several prominent men are seriously ill. The Rev. Newman Hall (D\D., and a well-known wrier on religious subjects) is reported to be sinking, the Earl of Kimberley's (Leader of the Liberal Party in the House of Lords) condition is critical, and Count Tolstoi's (the Russian novelist) is grave.
