At Hawera, on the 13th inst., a very large entry of cattle came forward, mostly 2 to 3 year steers. Although this class of cattle are keenly sought after, several lines were passed in, not reaching the owners' reserves. Fat cows, L 4 13 6d to L 5 15s ; store cows, L 3 10s to L 4; heifers in calf, L 3 15s to L 4 8s ; empty heifers, L3ls to L 3 10s ; cows and calves, L 4 5s to L4 lss ; 2to 2£ year steers, L4to L 4 10s ; 2 year steers, L 3 15s to L 4; 18 month steers, L 3 to L 3 7s ; weaners, LI 3s to LI 7s.

At Okaiawa, on the 14tb inst., only a small yarding of stock came forward, most of which were sold. Fat cows, L 4 15s to L 5 10s ; store cows, L 3 10s to L 3 163 ; cows and calves, L 3 19s to L 5 4s 6d ; weaners to yearlings, LI 7s 6d to LI 12s Cd ; weaners, LI Is to LI 6s.
