There is splendid weather for the second day of the Taranaki Jockey Club's meeting. Results :

Third Hack — Governess and Tawara dead heat, Kohina 3. Time, 1.16 3-5. Divs. : Inside, Governess 13s, Tawara £6 19s.

Second Hurdles — Waiwera 1, Sudor 2, Sultana 3. Evening Wonder was scratched. Time, 2.50. Divs : Inside, L 2 4s and L24s ; outside,' L 2 7s and L 4 ss.

Second Hack Hurdles— Omprah 1, Taranaki 2, New Zealand 3. Clarion also started, but fell. Time, 2.56£. Divs : Inside, L 2 16s ; outside, L 2 17s.

Autumn Handicap — Military 1, Battleaxe 2, Taplow 3. The Needle was scratched. Tune, 2.12 1-5. Divs : Inside, £15 18s and 16s ; outside, Ll4 7s and 15s.

Fourth Hack Race — Tupara 1, Loch Erin 2, Waireka 3. Midia also ran. Time, 2.18. Divs: Inside, L 4 10s; outside, L 4 2s.

Farewell Handicap — Sedgebrook 1, Sylvia Park 2, Faugh-a-ballagh 3. Tukapa, Lady Bell, and The Dude also ran. Time, 1.29. Divs: Inside, L 3 14s and L 2 9s ; outside, L 4 5s and L 3 19s.
