Received February 12, 9.34 %,va. London* February 11. Colonel Yondsnop, in command of a composite corps, surprised Potgreter's Laager at Rhenosterspruit and a Freestaters' laager at Zanlingsfontein near by and thirty-six were captured, including Polgreter in his shirtsleeves.

The Premier is advised that Trooper Louis Blundell, Wellington, is danger* ously ill at Cbarlestown, and that the following'troppere have left the Cape on their return journey to New Zealand : — J. Davidson, Wellington, by Gothic ; J. F. Riohards and J. Burroughs, both of Marlborough, by Afric.
