SUGAR DUTIES.

Washington, February 11.
Britain's demand that import duty on sugar be reduced one half under penalty of reprisals by United Kingdom, colonies and India has alarmed AustrianGerman traders, who unanimously recommended resistance of any ohange of bounties or customs. The conference adjourned to' enable German-Aus-trian delegates to confer with their Governments.
