ADELAIDE'S TRAMWAYS.
West Adelaide, February 9. The referendum for the ratepayers to decide whether the Act which hands the trams to private enterprise for conversion to the electrical system should operate, resulted in a favorable majority of 6000. The Labour party, who favored the nationalisation of tramways, were badly defeated.
