NELSON DIAMOND JUBILEE.

Nelson, February 4. The Premier, Sir Joseph Ward, and Hod. C. H. Mills left by tbe Tutanekai this evening for Wellington. The leading feature of to-day's celebrations was the military review and tournament. The mounted corps of the district, artillery, and infantry took part in the former, and the tournament was a big success. Marines from the warships also gave an exhibition, and were received with cheers.

The Premier opened a Japanese bazaar in aid of the Presbyterian Church, before a large attendance. Mrs Seddon, and Sir Joseph and Lady Ward were also present. In the bowling tournament, Nelson scored 29 against Palmerston North's 7. Nelson also defeated Blenheim by 20, and Blenheim beat Palmerston North by 3 points.
