Brisbane, February 4. The landlady of the City Hotel has died of plague. The report that a boy was supposed to be plagued at Gladstone turns out to be incorrect.

Received February 5, 9.7 a.m. Berlin, February 4. The Vossiche Zeitung says tbe acceptance of commercial reciprocity within the British Empire to the injury of Germany's Australasian trade will lead to reprisals.
