Wanganui, January 29. At St. Hill street sale yesterday we had a good yarding of both cattle and sheep. Bidding for cattle was brisk throughout, and all sold with the exception of a pen of steers. Bidding for sheep was good, and all lines sold with the exception of one pen of ewes. A fair yarding of pigs came forward, and Bold well. We quote: —

Cattle. — 12 to IS months steers, L 2 5s to L 2 103 ; cows and calves, L 4 7a 6d ; weaners, 25s to 34s ; springing heifers, L 4 10s lo L 5; 12 to 15 months heifers, L 2 10s to L 2 12s ; 18 months to 2 year heifers, L 2 16s to L 2 19s ; 2 year steers, L 4 4s ; milch cows, LI 15s to L 5 17s.

Sheep. — Woolly wethers, 12s 3d ; others, 11s; woolly ewes, 8s to 10s 4d; shorn forward ewes, 7s 3d ; fat and forward wethers, 10s 6d ; 2-tooth wethers, 8s 3d to 8s 8d ; fat and forward shorn lambs, 7s ; woolly lambs (good), 5s 4d to 5s 6d ; fair woolly lambs, 3s lOd.

Pigs.— Baooners, 32s 6d to 375 ; large pork, 23s to 27s 6d ; weaners, 9s 6d.
