Hawbba, January 30. At Opunake, on 28th, Aye had a large entry of cattle and mostly of a good class. There were several buyers present and keen competition, most lines being disposed of at the hammer.

At Manaia, on 29th, the yards were well filled. There was spirited bidding throughout, most of the lots being disposed of. At clearing sale in the estate of the late W. Hill, everything sold well. Horses brought from £10 to £21 165.
