Beceived January 31, 11.4 p.m. London, January 31. Bradford wool market is hardening. Common sixties, 19|d ; supei-3, 20Jd. At the wool salsa, the market is less animated. Faulties are somewhat easier ; others firm.

Butter : The demand is improving, with an upward tendency. Colonial, 104s to 106s, and Borne aeking 108s. Danish, recovering, is at 109s to Ills. The Topgariro's cargo arrived in good condition. Cheese : Firm ; unchanged. Babbits are strong at ninepence. Napisr, January 31.

At the annual ram fair bidding was poor. The highest price for studs was 21 guineas for Lincoln rams from Mr Baymond, of Taratabi. The highest figure for flocks was 6£ guineas.

HEMP.

The New Zealand Trade Review Bays mills are engaged under contract to their full producing power for some months ahead. Quotations, £27 per ton for January-February delivery, £26 for MarchApril; and £24 to £25 for May-July. There are some complaints as to a defioiency of the green phormium ; at all events, it seems evident that the BUpply is unable to keep pace with the demand.

Auckland, January 31. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. (Ltd.) report : — Horses. — Heavy draughts sold from L 23 to L 39, medium Ll9 2s 6d to L 29 15s, light harness horses L 6 2s 6d to Ll4 10s, hacks L 4 5s to Ll6 10s.

Cattle : Ox beef, 8s to 21s per 1001b ; oow, 16s to 18b ; fat steers, L6ssto L 9 10s ; fat cows, L 3 15s to L 8 ss ; dairy cows, L 4 5s to L 8 2s 6d ; store cows, LI 15s to L 3 12s 6d ; calves, I<l to LI 18s.

Sheep : Wethers, 10s 3d to 14s 6d ; ewes, 5s 6d to 12s 3d ; store ewes, 3b 6d to 7s 3d ; lambs, well fatted, 8s 6d to 12s 6d ; higher Borts and stores, 4s to 7s 9d.

Pigs sold well ; porkers|Ll 2a to L27s 5 weaners, 6s 6d to 10s 6d.
