Butter : The demand is improving, with an upward tendency. Colonial, 104s to 106s, and Borne aeking 108s. Danish, recovering, is at 109s to Ills. The Topgariro's cargo arrived in good condition. Cheese : Firm ; unchanged. Babbits are strong at ninepence. Napisr, January 31.

At the annual ram fair bidding was poor. The highest price for studs was 21 guineas for Lincoln rams from Mr Baymond, of Taratabi. The highest figure for flocks was 6£ guineas.

HEMP.

The New Zealand Trade Review Bays mills are engaged under contract to their full producing power for some months ahead. Quotations, £27 per ton for January-February delivery, £26 for MarchApril; and £24 to £25 for May-July.
