LONDON MARKETS.

Napier, January 30. Messrs Nelson Bros. (Ltd.), of Tomoana, received the following cablegram from the CO. and D. Co., London, this afternoon : — " To-day's quotations are : Best Canterbury mutton, 3f d ; best Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 3|d. Lamb, first quality sd, second 4|d."

A matter that has been' of some interest to seafaring men, not only on the Paoifio Coast, but throughout the world, is the nomenclature that is to be given to the seven masts of the big schooner now building in Boston Harbor (says the San Francisco Chronicle). Captain Crowley himself, owner of the vessel, has decided to call the masts fore, main, mizzen, spanker, jigger, driver, and pusher. Additional information regarding the seven-master is to the effeot that its capacity to pay will depend largely on the fact that the crew will consist of only sixteen men, or less than half the number necessary to operate an ordinary square-rigged ship.
