SUPPLYING LIQUOR TO A MAORI WOMAN.

Wanganui, January 81. A man' named Williams was fined £5 Is and costs JES 5s 9d at the Police Court for supplying liquor at Raetihi, inland of Wanganui, to a Maori woman. The Magistrate (Mr Kettle) reserved judgment on a second charge of supplying the woman (whom defendant claimed to be his wife according to Maori custom) with liquor.
