Wansanui, January 24. At Waverley, last Friday, we had a good yarding. All classes of cattle sold well. Sheep, in excess of advertised numbers, came forward, and all disposed of at advanced rates. At St Hill street sale, yesterday, we had a good yarding. The demand for cattle was keen throughout. Most lines of sheep sold after auction at satisfactory prices. We quote : ' Cattle.— At Waverley: 2 to 2$ year steers, L 4 10s to L 4 Ids 6d ; 18-month to 2-year steers, L 2 12s 6d to L 3 ; 15 to 18month heifers, L 2 15a to L34s 6d ; 2- ! year heifers, L 3 12s 6d ; forward cows, L 4 15s ; weaners, 32s to L 2 Is ; bulls, L 3 to L 4. Cattle— At St Hill street: Forward | bullocks, L 6 13s ; 18 to 20-month heifers, L 2 10s to L 3 2s 6d ; weaners, 20s to 30s ; 15-month steers, L 2 16s 6d ; bull, L 5 ss. Sheep— At Waverley: 2-tooth wethers, 8a Id to 9s Id ; forward wethers, 103 Id ; shorn Leicester-Lincoln lambs, 6s 2d. Sheep— At St Hill street : Fat wethers, 10b 9d ; fat ewes, 8s 6d ; ewes and wethers (mixed), 7s sd ; forward wethers, 9s 9d ; Leicester-Lincoln lambs, in wool, 6s; others (culls), 3s to 43. Pigs— Baooners, 34s to 37s 6d ; porkers, 18s to 255 ; others, 12s.
