There was a large attendance of buyers and spirited bidding, every line being disposed of. At Hawera, on 23rd, owing to the wet weather some lines advertised did not come forward. There was keen bidding with a strong enquiry, and with one exception every pen was quitted. We quote, at Eltham : 18 month steers, L 3 6s to L 3 10s; 2 year steers, L 4 to L 4 2s ; store cows, L 3 10s 6d to L 3 12s ; freßh cows, L 3 14s to L 3 18s 6d ; cows and calves, L4ssto L 4 7s 6d ; yearling steers, L 2 14a to L 3; weaners, 24s 6d to 27s 6d ; fat cows, L 5 to L 5 ss.
