LATE WAR NEWS.
Received January 23, 11.7 a.m. London, January 22. Mr Cawley's amendment was negatived by 333 votes to 123.
Mr Lloyd-George said the amendment simply affirmed two contradictory propositions, and apparently a section of his party had captured Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman, and steeped him in all the principles of that section.
