Gisborne, October 28.
The annual show of the Poverty Bay A. and P. Society opened to-day, and compares favorably with others held previously. There is a slight falling off in classes for cattle and sheep, but this is more than made up in the horse division, the entries in which are largely in excess of previous gatherings, and number slightly over three hundred.
