The small maker, working on practically no capital, uses timber that is either not seasoned or is artificially dried with hot air, whioh is just as bad. Surely it is to the customer's advantage to buy from a maker of repute. It is a guarantee in itself that he is getting a reliable musical instrument, and not a box of wires, aa many oheap pianos are. We confine our attention to musical nstruments solely. Mangles, sewing machines, washing machines, and perambulators we do not profess to understand. PIANOFORTE TUNING. Almost equally important with good advice in the choice of a Piano is the necessity of scouring the servioes of a THOROUGHLY COMPETENT TUNER to attend to the instrument at regular intervals.
