OUR TIMBER TRADE.
(ran pbess association.) Wellington, October 5. The timber trade of the colony is remarkably brisk just now. The Kauri Co. has a million feet ordered for Wellington and Lyttelton alone, seven vessels being employed in carrying it. During the next few months two million feet of white pine will be sent from this part to Sydney, where the demand is very brisk.
