FIRE AT PAPANUI.
(PKR PRB33 ASSOCIATION.) Cheistchurch, October 5. By fire early this morning the Papanui Town Hall was completely destroyed. The building,' in addition to a large hall, comprised Hopkins' grocery store, and the shops of Lake (bootmaker), and Roberts (tobacconist). Insurances : Hall, owned by 0. A. Look, Methven, £1000 ; shop and stock of Hopkins, £800; Lake's stock, £200; Roberts', £50.
