I Received October 5, 9.35 a.m. London, October 4. i Members have been re-elected for 3 Fulhaui, Greenwich, Westinnister, ) Taunton, "Winchester, Warwick and t Leamington, Ashton-under-Tyne, StafI ford borough, Ecclesall, Bath, Brighton, , Huddersfiold, Wednesbury, Dudley, J Ipswich, Dundee, Kidderminster. Elected at the polls : Brightside i Division of Sheffield, Mr J. F. Hope, I Tory, who defeated Mr Maddison by i 964 ; Gravesend, Mr G. Parker, Tory ; Tynemouth, Mr L. Harris, Tory ; Salisi bury, Mr Palmer, Unionist. Members have been re-elected unop- ■ posed for the Arfon division of Oarnar- * yon, Clitheroe, Cork (north-east), t Waterford (west), and Morpetb. At Christchurch, Major K. Balfour, Tory (8411) beat the Hon. T. Allnutt Brassey (son of Lord Brassey), Liberal, (3108), Mr Brassey has demanded a a scrutiny. For Walsall, Sir A. D. Hayter, ' Liberal, was returned; for MerthynTydvil, Dr. Thomas, the old member, and Mr Keir Hardie (who beat Mr Pritchard .Morgan;. For Derby Borough, Sir T. Eoe (Liberal), and E. Bell (Labour Liberal) were elected, the nearest Ministerial ■ candidate being defeated by 528. The polling for Newcastle-on-Tyne resulted : — Conservatives : Plummer, • 15,097; Benwick, 14,752. Liberals: 1 Samuel Storey, 10,488; Captain Hed worth Lambton, 10,463. ■ Lord Portsmouth has rejoined the Liberal party. At Brighten, Mr John Kensit, of antiRitualistic fame, who annuunced him* self as the Protestant oandidate, polled 4693. Mr E. Bell, elected for Derby, is secretary of the Society of Amalgamated Engineers. The new member for Gravesend is Mr Gilbert Parker, the well-known novelist.
