DEATH OF KING MAHUTA'S AUNT.
PER PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Ootober 5. Mahuta, the Maori King, has received word of tho death of his aunt, Parengaopo, a woman of some historic interest, aged about 65. She was deconded from King Potatau. Her mother's marriage with Potatau's brother was arranged in order to bring about a truce and put an end to the feud between the Ngapuhi and Waikatos. I Tereipaehua, another relative of Mahuta's is also just dead.
