There was a brilliant reception at the Town Hall, which was handsomely decorated. ' 2000 invitations were issued. Beceived October 4, 1.15 a.m. ( Sydney, October 3. : The barquentine Lord of the Isles, which went ashore at North Spit, Auckland, was insured for £1000 in various Sydney offioes, and a portion of the cargo for £135 in the New Zealand Insurance Co. It is understood the honedust was not insured.
