LAND BOARD.
The Land Board met on Monday.
Land applied for since last meeting : —Section 4, block 7, Opaku, R. Ripley and A. Wichman, 1110 acres, 0.r.p. ; section 8, block 11, Cape, C. V. Shaw, 239 acres, 1.i.p. ; section 4, block 11, Cape, W. L. P. Chambers, 279 acres, 1.i.p. ; section 7, block 12, Opaku, H. G. Dickie, 870 acres, 0.r.p. ; section 2, block 14, Pouatu, W. A. E. McCutchan, 255 acres, 0.r.p. ; section 3, block 5, Egmont, W. JB. Da vies, 230 acres, 0.r.p. ; section 5, block 11, Cape, G. A. Adlam, 278 acres, o.r.p.
Freehold was granted to J. Eothery, section 72, block 11, Opunake.
Consent was given to the following transfers :— J. Martin to W. A. Thomas, section 37, block 11, Opunake ; Godfrey and -Jones to Leslie Young, sections 8, 5, 16, block 4, and sections 2, 3, 4, 13, 14, 15, 15, block 8, town of Manaia.
Three months' extension was given to Gr. A. Kindberg for compliance with residence conditions on section 20, block 13, Mahoe.
M. Quilivan applied for the valuation for improvements due to him for section 78, block 11, Kaupokonui. — The matter was lef o with the Commissioner to deal with.
An application by J. J. O'Shea and M. Griffin to divide section 30, block 11. Ngaire, and have separate tkles was agreed to.
Messrs Woolridge were granted untH November 3rd to pay arrears of rent on section 19, block 7, Cape.
An application was received from David Syme, on behalf of G. Moir, for permission to surrender J-acre for the erection of a public hall at Eltham.— He is to be advised that Mr Moir should consent in writing and surrender his lease, and also submit a survey of the site, and the board will deal with the matter. — News.
