THE BURNHAM STABBING CASE.

Oheistohobch, Ootober 8.

Henry Cunningham, the Burnham boy who stabbed the superintendent of the institution, on the 80th August, was brought before the Magistrate's Court to-day, l'he question of which of the two solicitors, Messrs Joynt (instructed by Education Department) or Donnelly by the boy) was to appear for him was argued, and settled by the magistrate deciding in favour of the latter.

Evidence was then called, to the effect that the accused had rushed at the superintendent and stabbed him, immediately the latter entered his cell to punish him.

After taking the depositions of several witnesses for the Crown, the accused, who reserved his defence, was committed for trial.
