Sydney,. October 8. In his opening address at the Anglican Synod, the Primate, referring to Archbishop Redwood's sermon, said he never thought it necessary in his public utterances to denounce the Roman Church or enter into controversial correspondence, but when, on a public occasion, such a Bermon as Archbishop Redwood's had been published, it seemed necessary to say, "We do repudiate as libellous this gratuitous insult, this defamation of Protestant Chriatiftcity,"
