LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL,
Monday, October 1.
The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Local Bodies Loans Act Amendment and Inspection of Machinery Aot Amendment Bills were read a third time, and passed.
The Council considered the reasons advanced by the House for objecting to certain amendments in the Public Health Bill. The Council decided to adhere to the amendments, and appointed a committee to frame reasons.
The Post Office Bill was read a third time, and passed.
The Government Railways Bill was considered in committee, and progress reported.
The Council adjourned at 4.55 p.m.
