BRITISH CAVALRY DOING GOOD WORK.
RECEPTION OF COUNT WALDERSEE.
Berlin, September 30. Reports received here state that the rinderpest is raging amongst the cattle of the German commissariat at Shanghai.
The British cavalry occupied several towns, extending for forty miles southwest of Tientsin, unopposed.
An Allies' collective gviard-of-honor received General Count Waldersee at the Tientsin station, which was decorated exclusively with German, Russian, and French flags. The Edict of the 25th also deprives Prince Tuan of his official servants and degrades four other princes.
Four battalions of infantry are recruiting the Russians. They are to garrison the province of Kwantung. Hong Kong, September 30. -
The French troops in Peking have occupied Luku-Ohieo and Ohangsintein, in order to secure a coal supply.
