In Venezuela there are complaints that the Treaty with respect to the • boundary dispute coutaina no provision of sovereignty, and an agitation is being raised. Mr Olney, Secretary of »Stiite for tha United States, declines to modify the terms of the Treaty without British consent. WASHINGTON, Decainber-9. The Government do not Miticipate any serious difficulty over the Venezuela boundary question. The amendments desired by Venezuela are in the nature of increased safegui, rds, and are not likely to jeopardise the position.
