The Supreme Court was occupied today with a oase in whiob R. P. Greville, engineer Alfredton Boad Board (Wairarapa), sues W. C. Cargill, proprietor of the Wairarapa Star and Eketahuna Mail, to recover £1000 damages for alleged libel in December last. The Star and Mail published an article headed " A wholesale robbery," in whioh, it is contended, charges of gross corruption were levelled against the plaintiff id his official capaoity. The case, whiob is being heard before Mr Justice Bichmond and a epeoial jury of twelve, is likely to laßt a couple of days.
