Tbe Pastorahsts 1 Council, in reply to the request of the International Conference of Australian Busb Unions for a conference to discuss the new shearing agreement, has, after fall consideration with tbe Pastoralist Unions of New Soutb Wales, Victoria, and Soutb Australia, unanimously decided that it is not necessary to bold a conference, and it regrets tbat workers should threaten to Btrike, which would only intensify the present conditions of things. The counoil added that suoh action was not warranted by the present sheariag rates on the conditions under which employe's are asked to work.
