Suspected Wholesale Poisoning

MELBOUENE, June 15.
The polioe are rigorously investigating the antecedents of Mrs Needle, who is in custody on a charge of poisoning the two brothers Junker. Tbe bodies of her husband and three children will probably be exhumed. Tbe polioe are in possession of information showing that her children displayed similar symptoms to the Junkers. One child died in 1885 and another in 1890, and a third in 1891. The husband died in 1889. All four were insured for JJIOO. a-piece, which Mrs Needle drew. Among letters discovered is one from aooused to ,tbe surviving brother, of whom she was enamoured. It complains of her treatment at tbe hands of Mrs Junker, senior, when the latter came to take back the dead body of her eon, Lewis, to Adelaide, and contains tbia sentenoe : — " Remember, the day you oast me off for your mother, you will be motherless, for I shall kill her."
