LONDON, May 7. The Agents General of the various Australian colonies will congratulate the Prince of Wales and tbe Duke of York upon the iatter's engagement. The Sovereigns of Europe have congratulated Princess May, who baa j received four hundred telegrams from distinguished personages. The Duke of York formally proposed for ber hand on Wednesday. It is expeoted tbe marriage will be celebrated in tbe private ohapel at Buckingham Palace, or in Westminster Abbey. The Agents-General for tbe oolonies have unitedly sent a message to tbe Prinoe of Wales, congratulating him and his family on the engagement of the Duke of York with Princess May. The London Corporation have sent a Similar message and voted a sum of £2500 as a wedding present.
