HONGKONG, March 18.
The villagers near Chifu seized a number of pirate junks during the night, and killed sixty of those on board, mutilating tbsir bodies in a fearful manner. Of the crews of all tbe junks there were only two survivors. Tbe attacking parties afterwards ate tbe hearts of their victims. The outrage was committed in revenge for several m orders which had been committed by pirates in the district lately.
