Mutton — Canterbury, 4J ; Wellington, 4|d. Canterbury lamb, 6d. Beef — Forequarters. 3£d ; hindquarters, 4d. New Zealand hemp is in fair demand, and tbe market is steady. One hundred and thirty bales of Wellington sold for — Good, £25 ss; fair £24.
Factory butter, ex Dorio, realised 96s to 102s ; dairy ditto, 86s to 945.
Wool — Merino is very aepreseea, an 3 prices are easier, but brisk business is doing in crossbreds. Shares in the Bank of Ireland have fallen to L 6 2s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) has received the following cable advice from London, dated 25th inst. Frozen meat — Mutton market dull. Wellington mutton is worth 4d per lb. For New Zealand lamb there is a fair demand. Beef market is firm. Foreqaarters are worth 3§d per lb. Other quotations unchanged since laat telegram. Tallow — Market for fine mutton is firm. Edible mutton tallow is worth 41s 6d per owt, and gooa beef 345.
