Italian Precautions against France
(SPECIAL TO PBESS ASSOCIATION.)
ROME, February 7.
In retaliation for the action of France in fortifying Bizerta, a seaport of Tunis, tbe Italian Government are adding to the fortifications of Messina, and completing the tortifioations of other seaports in Sicily. A question was asked on the subject in tbe Chamber of Deputies, but Ministers assured tbe members that there was no cause for alarm, beoause of the Btepa the Government were taking.
