(per press association.) AUCKLAND, January 28. Tbe summer meeting of the Takapuna J.C. was begun to-day at Devonport. There was a fair attendance. The following are the results :—: — Maiden Plate, one mile. — Aoacia, 7.8, 1 ; King Cannibal, 2 ; Sir Roland, 8. Divi,6l2 7s. Hurdle Race, two miles. — Ika Vuka, 9.0, 1; Marecbal Neil, 10.10, 2; Fishmonger, 11.4, 3. Eight started. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 3min 35sec. Dividend, i-58 2s. Zealandia Handicap, five furlongs.— Tamar, 1 ; Oreni, 2 ; Peerless, 3. Eight started. "Won easily by half a length. Dividend, £3 17s. Takapuna Cup, of 200 soys; one mile and a half. — Morion. 8.10, 1 ; Ingorina, 8.0, 2 ; Coalscuttle, 7.12, 3. Also started— Ida, Como, Tit. 7.8; Master Pat, 7,0; and Warrior, 6.11. Won by balf a length, about a length between seoond and third horses. Time, 2min 43sec. Dividend, £4: 16 a. Calliope Handicap, for two year-olds, Bix furlongs — Royal Rose, 8.2, 1 ; Roe, 9.2, 2; Annabel, 7.7, 8. Four started. Won by a length comfortably. Time, lmin 20sec. - Dividend, £2 ss. Maiden Steeplechase Handicap, about three miles, Isidore, 10.8, and Lady On6low, 9.8, a dead heat ; Kate, 10.0, 3. Eleven started. Lady Onslow ran up in time to catoh Isidore on the post.
