(PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY, January 11. The Lnbeok, which has arrived from Samoa, brings news that the United Staes warship Alliance bad a narrow esoape of going ashore at Apia. Daring a heavy squall she dragged her anchors, and the engines only operated as the vessel scraped the reef. The Samoan Times says the Samoan Treasury is empty, and the salaries of> some of the administrative officers are ia arrears. News from Tntuila with respect to the war parties is not of a very reassuring character, and it is reported that the men of Atalanta West, which is the moat populous district in. the island, are inclined fcp. go to the seat of war.
