To start at 5,30 Definition of a Hack. — A Hack is a horse that han never won an advertised race (Hack aud hunter Races excepted) and is not at tbe time of start, and bas not been during the six calendar months previous to tbe tine of start, nominated to any race iH-eck and Hunter Races, excepted. In all cases when penalties have to be carried for winning, it shall be tbe duty of the owner, trainer or jockey, to notify the same to the Secretary on tlje night of Tuesday, the 17th January, before, nine o'clock, at Wilson's Stratford' Hotel.
