SYDNEY, March 25. j Twomey, the secretary of the local ! bxanoh of the Shearers' Union, has made I some extraordinary remarks before - the meeting of the Trades and Labor Counoil. He stated that in the Young District some laboring men had formed themselves into prospecting parties, and had struck good gold on private property. They intend, be mentioned, to organise a new nnion, and form parties of three or four thousand strong, and simply take the gold ; also, that it was tb» shearers' determination that they might as well be well-fed in gaol as starved outside. They were determined to have the gold, and if they ooold not get it by fair means they would seise it.
