' (FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTOHUROH, Ootober 18. Mr. Rolleston addressed the electors at Halswell laßt night, receiving a yote of thanks and confidence. He said tbe majority at the back of the Ministry was a nominal not a real one. He orltioised the work of the session at great length, saving there had been a great deal of cry and very little wool. In referring to Mr. McKenzie'a Land Bill he termed it " the Boeial pest annihilating bill." Hs said the great principle now at stake was tbe assertion of individual liberty against false liberalism, which would tyrannise over the rights ot society, and we were now living in a atmosphere of humbug.
