, . (FEB PBESS ASSOATIOK.) . - WELLINGTON, October 19. The Court of Appeal began its session thia morning. All the Judges were present except the Chief Justice, who is detained at Wanganui. Mr. Rudyard Kipling, tbe well-known author, arrived from London to-day, pec Doric, and; is booked for Auckland, and will probably rvisic Samoa. ■ A well-known citizen J. P. E. Wright, J.P., of Island Bay, and one of. the pro* pnetors of the Happy Valley Meat Oom« pany, died last night after a brief illneis.
