Auckland, October 15. Some averages of fat steers were : £8 ss, J37 4s, &1 la 3d, £Q 14s, £6 8s 6d, £6 3s 6d, £5 16s; cows: £5 17s 6d. £5 2b 6d, £5 Os 6d, £4, 17s 6d, £A 12s 6d, M ss, £& 2s 6d. Sheep were penned in moderate numbers at Newmarket on .Tuesday. Competition was brisk at from Is lOd to 2s per stone of Blbs. Wethers sold at from 18s to 21s 6d each; ewes, 13s 6d to 19s 9d; mixed sexes, 14s 6d to 20b; shorn ewes, 12a 6d; lambs, 7s 3d to 15s 6d each.
