THE COMING SHOW.
We remiud our readers that entries for the eighth annual Shew of the Egraont Acricultural and Pastoral Association, which will be held ou Thursday, sth November, 1891, close on Monday, 26tu October, at 8 p.m. Every effort is being put forward by the executive to make this Show incompaiably superior to any of its predecessors, and we trust that the settlers and all stock-owners will support their efforts by making it in point of number [ and in excellence of exhibits, as well as in attendance, the greatest possible success. There are many special features in the ooming Show, of which the following may be specially referred to : — The prize money has been increased to abom £400 All vehicles, implements, local industries, and producp will bo conveyed from and to Hawera railway station free of cost to exhibitor, if at the station by noon a day previous to the show. Produce while on show ground will be specially protected by a custodian. Poultry and dogs for exhibition coming to Hawera by morning train on show day will be received if entered by the prescribed time, and poultry will be conveyed free of charge '
from and back to station. The Wolsely steam sheep-shearing machine will be shown in rail work. We also point out that the society extends to members of kindred associations tbe privilege of entering exhibits afc members' rates. A considerable concession has also been made by the Eailway Department in that stock are to be carried to shows, and if not disposed of will bo returned free and half of tbe original cost refunded. All circumstances considered, we venture to think that — given a fine day — the show of 1891 will be an immenee suocess.
