(from our own correspondent.) TOWN BOABD MEETING.
A special meeting of the board was held on Saturday last at 1 p.m., to settle the accounts for the year ended 31st March last. There were' present — Messrs. Newman (in the chair), McGregor, andßogers. The following is a summary of the accounts read, showing receipts, £288 15s 10£ d. Expenditure, £214 6sßJd, and cash in bank £74 9s 24 ; other assets rates, £35 12s 4d ; rents, £11 ; subsidy, £12 10s; cash with treasurer, 8s 9£d; total assets, £404 6a Hid.
Current liabilities, .£2O 7s Id ; balance, £383 11s 10£ d ; total, £404 6s lljd. The statement of reserves showed 25 one acre seccions vested in the board, and one acre (the pound site) for which a grant had not been made out. Of the 25 sections three are let at total rents amounting to £13 per annum. It was resolved that the aocounts as read be settled. This terminated the business.
